Sea
Liverpool is the main point of arrival for sea travel in England’s Northwest with ferries from Belfast, Dublin and the Isle of Man
Train
Travelling by train to and throughout England’s Northwest couldn’t be easier. All major destinations are serviced by the rail network.
Road
Access to England’s Northwest couldn’t be easier with the M6 running from the South of England and from the North. The region is served by a number of additional routes connecting from the M6. If you prefer to let someone else do the driving the area is served by National Express Coaches.
Car
Road access to and around England’s Northwest is excellent with over half Britain’s motorway network passing through the region. The M60 is Manchester’s orbital motorway allowing easy access to the rest of Greater Manchester.
Train & tram
A comprehensive choice of fast, frequent services will take you to almost anywhere around the Northwest. There’s a wide range of tickets to suit every need. Manchester’s Metrolink light railway network, allows easy travel in the city centre and further afield. With routes from Bury, Altrincham and Eccles running from the city centre.
Ferry
Mersey Ferries operate a pleasure cruise service which connects Liverpool and Manchester via the historic Ship Canal.
Coach & bus
National Express Coaches provide services throughout the region that will take you from one city or town to another. Local bus networks service venues that are not directly accessible from the main cities or towns.
